Remote Deposit Capture service provides the convenience of depositing your business checks without leaving your office. Pacific Valley Bank will provide the check scanner and training necessary to make your business deposits. Deposits are securely transmitted for processing and available for viewing the following business day.

How does Remote Deposit work?

  1. Receive a check from your customer
  2. Scan the check at your office using a scanner provided by PVB
  3. The check image is captures and processed electronically
  4. Your deposit is electronically made and available in your designated PVB account the next business day


What do you need in order to access Remote Deposit?

  • A computer with Bank supported operating system and web browser
  • A supported desktop check scanner (issued by the Bank)
  • A high-speed Internet connection
  • A business account established at Pacific Valley Bank


What types of checks cannot be processed through Remote Deposit?

Checks that are not eligible for deposit are:

  • US Treasury checks
  • Checks including travelers checks, that are drawn on banks located outside of the United States
  • Money Orders or Postal Money Orders
  • Credit Card checks
  • Non-cash items
  • Checks payable in medium other than U.S. dollars
  • Promissory notes or similar obligations (savings bonds)
  • Third party checks
  • Pre-existing substitute checks
  • Checks that have previously been returned unpaid or uncollected
  • Checks that have been issued more than 180 days old
  • Checks that contain erasures or alterations
  • Remotely Created checks (whether in paper form or electronically created; eChecks, demand drafts, or telechecks)
